Bella's ring

Thursday, May 21, 2009

For the people who loves to read, you might know where this ring came from, but if you don't... it's from a book names Twilight that became popular right before the movie came out, this is the ring that the main character recieves on the 3th book named Eclipse... this and some other jewels that were used while making the movie has become popular now, and are sold in Amazon.com. This kind of things are normal, in the young as well with grow up people, we have that instinct that when we see someone using something we instantaneously want it. At least that doesn't happend to me, but most people does, and that's why this little thing are sold out, and not only the originals one, but also the copies, is good to mention that the original one can cost hundred of dollars even if the actor only uses it for three minutes and also even if this jewel is not mentioned on the book. I also think that the merchandise that is sold like this isn't even a money income for the writer, I don't know... if it... is good for her, cause you know one can not only live for a book sell, even if this one is a popular one... also... she might have a lot of expenses... so... the income is very welcome.

Rings of dreams

Wouldn't you just love to have the ring that appears on "The Lord of the Rings"?, is the perfect ring, not only because when you trow it to the fire and you touch it is cold... but you wouldn't need to find one that fits you cause all of them does.

But like nothing in the world is perfect, this comes with a curse that if you use the ring it will make you a monster and blaaa blaaa blaa... the lord will want it back and it will kill you and all those stuffs... we have all seen the movie right?

But it would be nice to have the chance to hide a secret message and that when the fire touches it appears, right?

I know I'm dreaming awake but in the meantime we can search for some other models (at least until they found out how to do this).
I'm not much of rings and those sort of stuffs, but everytime in a while doesn't hurt, so if I'm going to wear some of this things I have to do it right and not wear just a piece of cord in my finger.... p.d... I might do that in case it means something special to me.... but if it doesn't then why?

Light to letter "J"

Monday, November 3, 2008

As you can see this is an awesome design created by Ruby Studio that is made up for the glass artist Kristin McFarlane and the designer John Hoogendoorn.
This lamp is named the Stunning Aurora that it has been design from 60 pieces of acrylic with the shape of a "J", and that is why we said that in the title.
Here I leave you coments from the designers.

"The Aurora lamp is a lyrical re-interpretation of modernist design"

"The transmission of light and the dance of light and shade create a sense of calm and stillness in its environment. With the Aurora lamp we wanted to produce a light fitting made from many simple elements combined to create a complex form."

The lamp won Best Lighting Design at Fringe Furniture, part of the Fringe Festival in Melbourne.

"Each part is twisted in relation to its neighbour to allow a complex three dimensional object to materialize from simple components."
